Abstract
Bu çalışmanın giriş niteliğindeki ilk bölümünde bilim-inanç ilişkisini irdelenmektedir. Sonraki ana bölümde ise hakkında sınırlı bilgiler olan ve XIX. yüzyıl içinde yaşamış Tarsuslu Tabip Seyyid Osman Hayri Mürşit Efendi ile onun Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun başkenti İstanbul’da saray doktorluğu yaparken II. Sultan Abdülhamid Han’ın isteği üzerine yazdığı “Bedenlerin Sağlık Hazinesi, Osmanlıca Kılavuz Eser (Kenzus- Sıhhatü-l Ebdaniyye Eser-i Mürşid-i Osmaniye) adlı kitabının monografik açıdan incelemesinden oluşmaktadır

was a doctor born in Tarsus.During the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid Han the Second, he was commissioned
to write a monographic publication which he titled ‘’The Legacy of Bodily Health, an Ottoman Reference
Book.’’(Kenzus-ı Sıhhatü-l Ebdaniyye Eser-i Mürşid-i Osmaniye).He wrote this work whilst working as a doctor
in İstanbul, the Capital of the Otoman Empire
