The study aimed to analyse financial performance of Turkish Manufacturing Sector. 32 financial ratios of the 21 manufacturing sub-sectors were analysed by Gray Relational Analysis method. Data used in the analysis are the sector ratios calculated and declared by the Central Bank of The Republic of Turkey (CBRT) and cover the period 2012-2014. According to the findings the indicators affecting financial performance of Turkish manufacturing sector are financial structure, profitability, liquidity and asset utilization ratios. Within the scope of study the most successful three subsectors are, Tobacco Products Manufacturing, Coke and Refined Petroleum Products Manufacturing and Beverages Manufacturing sub-ectors. Food Products Manufacturing sub-sector is identified as the lowest performance.
Manufacturing Sub-Sectors CBRT Sector Ratios Financial Performance Gray Relational Analysis
Çalışmanın temel amacı Türk imalat sektöründe finansal performansın analiz edilmesidir. İmalat sektörü dâhilinde 21 alt sektörün 32 finansal oranı Gri İlişkisel Analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizde kullanılan veriler Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası (TCMB) tarafından hesaplanan sektör oranları olup 2012-2014 dönemini kapsamaktadır. Çalışma bulgularına göre Türk imalat sektöründe finansal performansa etki eden göstergeler sırasıyla finansal yapı, kârlılık, likidite ve varlık kullanım oranları şeklindedir. Tüm göstergeler açısından ele alınan tüm oranların GİA ile yapılan analizi neticesinde ilgili yıllar içinde incelenen imalat sektörleri arasında en başarılı performansa sahip üç alt sektör sırasıyla; Tütün Ürünleri İmalatı, Kok Kömürü ve Rafine Edilmiş Petrol Ürünlerinin İmalatı, İçeceklerin İmalatı olarak görülmüştür. En düşük performansa sahip olan alt sektör ise Gıda Ürünlerinin İmalatı olarak saptanmıştır.
