Bu
araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının vatandaşlık kavramıyla ilgili geliştirdikleri
metaforların tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi
kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Pamukkale Üniversitesi Eğitim
Fakültesi’nde öğrenimine devam eden 102 sınıf öğretmenliği öğrencisi
oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğretmen adaylarının
vatandaşlık kavramına yönelik metaforlarının belirlenmesi için açık uçlu soru
yöneltilmiş, çalışma verilerinin analizinde içerik analizi tekniği
kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinden 9 farklı tema ortaya çıkmış, bu tema
başlıkları altında çeşitli metaforlar ve alıntılarla desteklenmiştir. Vatandaşlık
kavramıyla ilgili metafor çalışmaları farklı branşlardaki öğretmen adaylarıyla
yapılabilir ya da öğretmenlerin görüşleri alınarak derinlemesine incelenebilir.
In this study, it was aimed to determine the metaphors developed by teacher candidates about the concept of citizenship. Qualitative research method was used in the study. The study group consisted of 102 prospective primary school teachers attending Pamukkale University Faculty of Education. In the study, open-ended questions were asked to determine the metaphors of the teacher candidates about the concept of citizenship as a data collection tool and descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the study data. 9 different themes emerged from the analysis of the data, supported by various metaphors and quotations under the titles of this theme. Metaphor studies related to the concept of citizenship can be conducted with teacher candidates in different branches or they can be examined in depth by taking the opinions of teachers.
