Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine the goals of higher education institutions to train social entrepreneurial leader students. This research, which was designed by the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was conducted with the data obtained from two universities, one of which is a state university and the other is a foundation university. These universities, which represent the sample group of the research, were determined by the typical case sampling technique, one of the purposeful sampling techniques. The data of the study were collected from the web pages of the universities. The strategic plans, annual activity reports, internal evaluation reports, quality objectives, and performance reports of the two universities in the sample group were examined and subjected to document analysis. In this study, the descriptive analysis method was preferred to analyse the data. The results of the study revealed that in the social responsibility dimension of social entrepreneurial leadership of both universities, the public university undertakes an active role in the fields of social responsibility and social contribution, encourages student participation, and develops projects that add value to society, while the foundation university focuses more on different issues such as health and emergency aid by its founding purpose, and tries to realise the dimensions of innovation, influence, and sustainability with similar practices. The results of the research are discussed based on the relevant literature and various suggestions for theoreticians and practitioners are presented.
