Manuscript Submissions for Regular Issues

The Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Journal of Social Sciences Institute (NEVÜ SBE Journal) will open manuscript submissions for consideration in its Regular Issues on Friday, 16 October 2026 at 00:01, and the submission period will close on Saturday, 17 October 2026 at 23:59.

Manuscripts cannot be submitted through the system outside the dates specified above, and manuscripts sent to the journal’s e-mail address will not be considered valid submissions. Authors are required to complete their submissions in full through the journal’s manuscript submission and management system within the announced submission period.

Submission and Initial Screening Requirements

All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be prepared in full compliance with the NEVÜ SBE Journal manuscript template and the journal’s current author guidelines.

Accordingly, manuscripts that:

• are not prepared in accordance with the journal’s manuscript template and author guidelines;

• are submitted with incomplete, incorrect, or improperly formatted documents or supplementary materials;

• are not uploaded to the system within the announced submission period and are instead sent to the journal’s e-mail address; or

• fail to comply with the journal’s requirements regarding the similarity index and similarity report

will be returned to the authors without being considered for scientific evaluation or peer review.

Articles derived from a thesis or from any other previously conducted scientific study or publication must also comply with the journal’s established similarity-index thresholds and requirements concerning the preparation of similarity reports. The fact that an article is derived from a thesis or another publication does not constitute an exemption from the journal’s similarity requirements.

Accepted Article Types and Methodological Priorities

Review articles will not be accepted. Bibliometric studies will be considered for evaluation only if they are based on an original research question; clearly and reproducibly describe their data sources and data collection procedures; and go beyond merely reporting descriptive bibliometric indicators by providing analytical findings concerning the scientific structure, development, trends, or research gaps within the relevant field.

In line with the journal’s publication policy and its objective of promoting methodological diversity in scientific research, priority will be given to original research articles employing quantitative or mixed-methods research designs.

Foreign-Language Articles and Publication Scheduling

The journal will introduce a publication quota for articles written in English and German. Accordingly, when determining the issue in which manuscripts that have successfully completed the evaluation process and have been accepted for publication will appear, the language of the manuscript, in addition to its date of acceptance, will be taken into consideration as an additional criterion.

Therefore, successful completion of the evaluation process and acceptance of a manuscript do not, in themselves, guarantee publication in the first issue following the date of acceptance. Publication scheduling will be determined by considering the date of acceptance, language of the manuscript, and the publication quota established for the relevant issue.

Authors are strongly advised to carefully review the journal’s current author guidelines, manuscript template, similarity-report requirements, and publication policies before submitting their manuscripts.

About the Journal

The Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Journal of Social Sciences Institute (NEVÜ SBE Journal) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access electronic academic journal published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December. The journal published its first issue in 2011 under the title Nevşehir University Journal of Social Sciences Institute and aims to contribute to the advancement of scholarly knowledge in the social sciences while supporting interdisciplinary research.

The journal seeks to contribute to the national and international academic community by publishing original research articles, review articles, and other scholarly works that comply with the principles of research and publication ethics across various disciplines of the social sciences and interdisciplinary fields. Committed to the principles of academic quality, impartiality, transparency, and ethical publishing, the journal conducts its evaluation processes through a double-blind peer-review system.

The NEVÜ SBE Journal follows an open-access publishing policy, and all published content is freely accessible online without any fees or subscription requirements. Enhancing the academic visibility and accessibility of the research published in the journal constitutes one of its fundamental publication policies.

The journal accepts manuscripts in Turkish, English, and German and welcomes scholarly contributions from both national and international researchers. As a peer-reviewed academic publication, the journal provides a scholarly platform whose publications may be considered within academic promotion, research incentive, and postgraduate academic evaluation processes.
