Mesleki Stresin İş Tatminine Etkisi: Örgütsel Desteğin Aracılık Rolü

Abstract

The present study aims to provide empirical support for the view that “organizational support plays a mediating role in the relationship between professional stress and job satisfaction”. Judges and prosecutors in Turkey were considered to be the target universe, while approximately 9000 judges and prosecutors from a social networking site constituted the available universe of the study. The fact that the study “is one of the first studies in terms of the universe it chooses”, and that it “has the potential to form the basis of further studies with a similar universe” and “uses descriptive and inductive statistical techniques” is an indication of its originality. The scale of “Professional Stress and Organizational Support”, developed by the researcher, and the “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire” were published online and data was collected from the available universe. It was proven that 393 questionnaires represented the universe. The validity and reliability of the scales were proven via exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha analysis. The mean scores of the participants obtained from the questionnaires were then calculated. Finally, the main hypothesis was tested through multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis in order to determine the mediating effect. According to the results of the analyses, the view that “organizational support is a mediating variable in the relationship between professional stress and job satisfaction” was supported by the findings of the study.

Mesleki Stresin İş Tatminine Etkisi: Örgütsel Desteğin Aracılık Rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışma, “mesleki stres – iş tatmini ilişkisinde örgütsel desteğin aracılık rolü üstlendiğine” ilişkin görüşe deneysel destek sağlamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Amaca ulaşmayı sağlayacak veriler, Türkiye’deki kürsü hakimleri ve savcılarının hedeflenen ana kütle (evren), yaklaşık 9000 hakim ve savcıyı barındıran bir sosyal paylaşım sitesinin üyeleri ise erişilebilen ana kütle (evreni) oluşturmuştur. “Seçtiği evren itibarıyla ilk çalışmalar arasında olduğu iddiası”, “benzer evren üzerinde çalışılacak başka araştırmalara alt yapı oluşturulabilme potansiyeli” ile “tanımlayıcı ve tümevarımsal istatistik tekniklerinin kullanılmış olması” çalışmanın özgünlüğüne ilişkin işaretler olarak kabul edilmektedir. Araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “mesleki stres ve örgütsel destek” ölçekleri ile “Minnesota İş Tatmini ölçeği” internet ortamında yayınlanarak erişilebilen evrenden veri toplanmıştır. Değerlendirmeye alınan 393 anket formunun erişilebilir evreni temsil şartlarını sağladığı değerlendirilmektedir. Ölçeklerin geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik koşullarını sağladıkları, keşfedici faktör analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve cronbach alpha analizi ile ortaya konulmuştur. Daha sonra katılımcıların ölçeklerden aldıkları ortalama puanlar hesaplanmıştır. Son olarak da temel hipotezi sınamak için önce çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi ve yol analizi yapılarak aracılık etkisi aranmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre “örgütsel desteğin, mesleki stres – iş tatmini ilişkisinde aracı değişken olduğu” yönündeki temel hipotezi destekleyici bulgular elde edilmiştir.
