DIŞA AÇIKLIK VE YOKSULLUK İLİŞKİSİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Dışa açıklık ve yoksulluk arasında ki ilişki son zamanlarda birçok araştırmaya konu olmuştur. Yoksulluk dünyanın bugün karşı karşıya kaldığı en büyük sorunlardan biridir. Herhangi bir yoksulluk analizinin önemli bir yönü, yoksulluğun tanımlanması ve ölçülmesidir. Bu çalışma, ticari ve finansal açıklık yoksulluğu azaltır mı? sorusuna cevap aramaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı; Türkiye ekonomisinde 1987-2021 dönemi için ticari açıklık ve finansal açıklığın yoksulluk üzerindeki etkisini zaman serisi yöntemi kullanarak incelemektir. Yapılan VAR analizi sonucunda ticari ve finansal açıklığın yoksulluğu azalttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Granger nedensellik analizleri sonucunda da yoksulluk ve finansal açıklığın göstergesi olarak kullanılan doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar arasında tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir.
