KİMYA ÖĞRETİMİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Düzce ilinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı farklı türdeki beş lisede öğrenim görmekte olan, 260 kişiden oluşan 10. sınıf öğrencilerine, bir yıl önce işledikleri Kimya–1 dersi konularını içeren ve temel bilgiler gerektiren 12 soru sorularak, öğrenme dereceleri ölçülmüştür. Testin sonuçları, aynı öğrencilerle yapılan Kimya dersinin işlenişine dair hazırlanan bir anketle mukayese edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Kullanılan kimya eğitim yöntemlerinden, en fazla uygulanması gereken deneysellik ilkesinin en az uygulandığı tespit edilmiştir. Kimya öğretiminde yaşanılan güçlükler tartışılarak, ezberleme yerine, öğrencinin anlaması ve kendi başına düşünüp sonuca gitmesi metodunun nasıl uygulanacağına dair eğitimcilere ve yöneticilere çeşitli görüş ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

THE EVALUATION of CHEMISTRY EDUCATION

Abstract

In this work, 10th grade high schools students attached to the Ministry of National Education in Düzce were asked 12 questions based on the subjects in Chemistry 1, which required basic knowledge and their knowledge was tested. The results were evaluated by using a questionnaire based on the procedures in Chemistry teaching. We obtained that the experimental methods, which must be used mostly in chemistry teaching, was rarely used. By discussing the difficulties of chemistry education; instead of memorization, some judgments and suggestions are presented to educators and administrators about how to apply the methods by which the students will comprehend, think and make deductions.
