The role of computers within computer-assisted education is not to set an alternative for the teaching process but to function as an element to empower the system. In order to educate students as individuals who can think, search, question, comment and discuss as the modern age requires, they should be provided with information technologies within their education process. That is why, students' competencies in utilizing computers should be improved and students should be made aware that technological tools are the indispensible tools of their daily lives. In this study, secondary school students were administered a survey about their computer utilization and the results of this survey were evaluated. Additionally, the possible effects of independent variables, which were assumed to have impacts on the computer utilization levels secondary school students, on their opinions about the utilization of computers were investigated.
