THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE STUDY TIME AND SUCCESS GRADES IN THE CLASS OF THE 3RD GRADER UNDERGRADUATE MUSIC DEPARTMENT STUDENTS

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between the grade of success in the class and the individual study time, which has great importance in music education. Descriptive method is used in the study. Frequency and percentage distribution of the data were calculated and shown in tables. The relationship between the variables of the study was calculated through Pearson Technique. The differentiation between the averages of the two groups was determined by t-Test. 0,01 and 0,05 significance levels were chosen as the statistical significance. Nonparametric tests were applied as the number of the subjects were low. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the study time and the success grade in the class, but there is not a significant difference in terms of gender variable and general high school-fine arts high school variable. .

Abstract

Bu çalismanin amaci, müzik egitiminde önemli bir zaman dilimi olan bireysel çalisma süresi ile ders basari notu arasindaki iliskiyi tespit etmektir. Arastirmada "betimsel yöntem" kullanilmistir. Verilerin frekans ve yüzde dagilimlari hesaplanarak tablolastirilmis ve arastirmada ele alinan degiskenler arasindaki iliskiler, Pearson Momentler Çarpim Teknigi ile hesaplanmistir. Iki grup ortalamalari arasinda fark olup olmadigi ise, t-Test ile belirlenmistir. Istatistiksel anlamlilik için ise 0,01 ve 0,05 anlamlilik düzeyi seçilmistir. Sayinin az olmasi sebebiyle Nonparametrik testler uygulanmistir. Ögrencilerin ders çalisma süreleri ile ders basari notlari arasinda anlamli bir iliski oldugu, cinsiyet degiskeni ve genel lise- güzel sanatlar lise degiskenlerine göre anlamli bir fark bulunmadigi sonucuna ulasilmistir.
