ORTA ENLEM ELEKTRON YOĞUNLUĞU ÇUKURUNUN İYONOSFERİK KRİTİK FREKANSLARDAKİ İZİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, orta enlem elektron yoğunluğu çukurunun iyonosferik kritik frekanslardaki olası izi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunun için kuzey yarım kürede 30o-70o değişmeyen manyetik enlemler (Λ) arasındaki iyonsondalardan alınan 1972 yılına ait saatlik iyonosferik kritik frekans (foF2) değerleri kullanılmıştır. foF2 değerleri istatistiksel metotlar kullanılarak, yerel zamana, mevsimlere, farklı jeomanyetik aktivite () gruplarına ve değişmeyen manyetik enleme göre incelenmiştir. Bu incelemelere göre, çukura benzer yapılar gündüz saatlerine kıyasla gece saatlerinde daha fazla oluşmuş ve artan  değeri ile daha belirgin gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca,  değerleri arttıkça çukura benzer yapıların en fazla gözlemlendiği mevsim Aralık, en az gözlemlendiği mevsim ise Haziran dönemi olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, yaklaşık 550 km’de ölçülen elektron yoğunluğu verileri ile daha düşük yüksekliklerdeki foF2 verilerinin farklı yerel zamanlar ve farklı mevsimler için benzer değişimler gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
