Abstract

Demonstrating the contribution of using traditional clothes as an inspiration source for the creativity and for the clothing design value in modern clothing design creation was the target of the this study. In the study, a collection, which was inspired from shape, form, ornament and fabric specifications of traditional clothes belong to district of Bursa, involve twelve clothing designs, which was compatible to last trends, was created and one of the designs was produced as a prototype. In the evaluation research, which was accomplished by observing the design process, the contribution of traditional components for the designs constituted the collection was interpreted in terms of symbolical and functional design values. In the changing fashion perception, the importance of this study is to show and to point out the contribution of traditional elements as an inspirational resource for the creativity and for the clothing design value to designers, which intend to generate a brand identity by presented value added, wearable and innovative clothing design to the mass communities.

GELENEKSEL GİYİM ÖGELERİNİN ESİN KAYNAĞI OLARAK GİYSİ TASARIMINA KATKILARI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, çağdaş giysi tasarımları oluşturmada esin kaynağı olarak geleneksel giysilerin kullanılmasının yaratıcılığa ve giysinin tasarım değerine katkılarının ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Bursa yöresi geleneksel kadın giysilerinin biçim, form, süsleme ve kumaş özelliklerinden yola çıkılarak günün trendlerine uygun 12 giysi tasarımından oluşan koleksiyon hazırlanmış ve bir giysi tasarımı prototip olarak üretilmiştir. Tasarım süreci izlenerek yapılan, uygulamalı araştırma niteliklerini de içeren bu değerlendirme araştırmasında; geleneksel öğelerin, koleksiyonu oluşturan tasarımlar üzerindeki katkıları sembolik ve fonksiyonel tasarım değeri açısından yorumlanmıştır. Bu çalışma, değişen moda anlayışı içinde, geniş kitlelere katma değeri yüksek, giyilebilir, farklı giysi tasarımları sunmayı hedefleyen ve marka kimliği oluşturmaya çalışan tasarımcılara, geleneksel öğeleri esin kaynağı olarak kullanmanın yaratıcılığa ve giysinin tasarım değerine katkısını göstermek ve konuya dikkat çekmek açısından önemlidir.
