Numerous numbers of onomastics are stated in the foundation period of Ottoman Empire. This period and also these onomastics can not be clarified in a proper way since the Ottoman Chronicles were written at least 150 years after the Ottoman State was established. This complication is due to the chronicles writers’ own estimation or the variations of the informations obtained or the errors originating from the oral or written sources those the chronicles writer’s utilized. Moreover these complications caused to have various differing names of the same historical character in the Ottoman Chronicles. We can determine this fact via careful tracking of the chronological sequence, using the records of the related Ottoman Tax Registers and other type of sources. Within this scope, the identity of Deli Balaban is evaluated along with the entitled names or the degrees like Deli (Delice), Tovu (Tovuca) and Kara (Karaca)
