Abstract

“Eudaimonia”sını nasıl dönüştürüp kendine mal ettiğini incelemektedir. Öncelik- le Nikomakhos’a Etik’in Latin dünyasına intikali ve tanınması ile alakalı bilgilerin verildiği makalede (s. 67-68.) ardından şu iki konu ele alınmaktadır: Augustine’in Nikomakhos’a Etik’e erişimine dair bilinenlerin özetlenmesi; Aristoteles’in eudai- monia kavramının Augustine’in insanın nihai mutluluğuna dair kendi çalışması üzerindeki etkisi (s. 68). Yazar tüm bu konuları inceledikten sonra Augustine’in Nikomakhos’a Etik’e doğrudan erişememekle birlikte Aristoteles’in “iyi hayat” kav- ramından önemli ölçüde etkilendiği sonucuna varmakta (s. 82) ve çalışmasını, etkilenimin dolaylı kaynaklarını ve sonuçlarını özetleyerek sonlandırmaktadır
