ARABIC LETTERS WRITTEN TO THE CHALIPHATE FROM KHWARAZMIAN SHAHS IN THE COLLECTION OF THE REÎDEDDÎN VATVÂT
Abstract
Rashîdeddîn Vatvât who lived in foundation and growth of the Khwarazmian Shahs was one of the greatest scholar and poets of his time. Author who was leadership of Diwan-ı Insha until beginning of Tekish reign was familiar with Arabic and Persian. Thanks to these abilities, he was one of the greatest prosaist of Arabic divans. Studies of Vatvât, who was educated in al-Nizamiyya Madrasah of Balkh, both in a literary sense and from a historical perspective can be said the most important among studies of the same period. I do not feel obliged to explain importence of Vatvât’s studies because this study is translation of a European historian article, but great value of the official diplomatic records that offered by her to benefit of historians is also impossible avoid drawing attention attention. Since, thanks to this records of diplomatic correspondence has emerged attention of historians about the problems among Seljuks, Khwarazmian and Chalîphate
