Abstract
Obviously, popular music is a kind in which innovations of the age could be found in concrete form. Out of these innovations, characteristics such as level and technique of performance and also musical style and attitude of performer are valuable resources and they can be benefitted in instruction of musical instruments. The ones who are putting forward these characteristics are of course the performers who have high levels of performance. Orhan Gencebay, one of these paramount performers, has a wide instrumental variety and technique in his compositions which all he created by himself, has an innovative approach which is not completely disconnected from the traditional, employs western performing style, has richness of tone and scale and reflects these properties to his compositions. With the aim to bring in new techniques and different performance styles, through the research, four musical creations of Orhan Gencebay which may give support to baglama instruction were musically analyzed. As the result of these analyses, the four compositions were presented as resources of practice to baglama instruction. Also skills which may be gained were specified
Abstract
Çağın yeniliklerini en somut biçimde içerisinde bulabileceğimiz müzik türlerinden biri şüphesiz popüler müziktir. Bunlardan çalgısal içerik açısından; icranın düzeyi, tekniği, icracının tarzı ve tavrı gibi özellikler, popüler müziğin çalgı eğitiminde yararlanılabilecek kaynak olma özelliğini göstermektedir. Bu türde kaynak özelliği taşıyan sanatçılardan biri de Orhan Gencebay’dır. Albümlerindeki bestelerin tamamı kendine ait olan Orhan Gencebay, eserlerinde çalgı çeşitliliği ve tekniği, gelenekselden kopuk olmayan yenilikçi anlayışı, Batı çalgı tekniğinden yararlanması, ton, makam zenginliği gibi müzikal unsurları eserlerine ustaca yansıtan bir sanatçıdır. Araştırmada, Orhan Gencebay eserlerinin bağlama eğitiminde farklı icra şekillerini kazandırma amacı taşıyan dört eserinin müziksel analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analizler sonrasında seçilen dört eser, çalgısal bölümleri üzerinde kazandırdıkları beceriler belirtilerek, bağlama öğretimine uygun yazım ve terminoloji ile etütsel nitelik taşıyan kaynak şeklinde sunulmuştur
