COMPUTATION OF THE EFFECTS OF BASIC MACROECONOMIC FACTORS WHICH AFFECT THE SHARE PRICES TO XU 100 INDEX

Abstract

Stock market indexes are accepted among the indicators of economy. At this point in order to have a successful investment strategy it is important to know the the basic macroeconomic factors which are effective at the level of the index and also the degree and the influence direction of these factors. The basic aim of this study is the computation of the effects of these factors to XU 100 Index. In the study, the relation between XU 100 Index and basic macroeconomic factors is analyzed with “Multiple Regression Method” and as the data set the monthly data of January 2003-May2013 period is used, The Exchange rates are not included to the practice since it is evaluated that in normal conditions XU 100 Index is not influenced by exchange rates

HİSSE SENEDİ FİYATLARINI ETKİLEYEN TEMEL MAKROEKONOMİK FAKTÖRLERİN BİST 1OO ENDEKSİ’NE ETKİSİNİN ÖLÇÜMLENMESİ

Abstract

Ekonominin göstergelerinden biri olarak da borsa endeksleri kabul edilmektedir. İşte bu noktada endeksin seviyesinde etkili olan temel makroekonomik faktörleri ve söz konusu faktörlerin endeksi etkileme yönü ile derecesini bilmek başarılı bir yatırım stratejisi için oldukça önemli hale gelmektedir. Çalışmanın temel amacı, söz konusu faktörlerin BIST 100 Endeksi’ne etkisinin ölçümlenmesidir. Çalışmada, BIST 100 Endeksi ile temel makroekonomik faktörler arasındaki ilişki “Çoklu Doğrusal Regresyon Modeli” kullanılarak incelenmiş ve veri seti olarak Ocak 2003 - Mayıs 2013 dönemine ait aylık veriler kullanılmış olup, olağan şartlarda BIST 100 Endeksi’nin döviz kurlarından etkilenmediği değerlendirildiğinden uygulamaya alınmamıştır
