ACENTE-KONSOLOS (MESAJERİ MARİTİM KUMPANYASI ACENTESİ VE FRANSIZ VİSKONSOLOSU) RAPORLARINA GÖRE GİRESUN LİMANI (1880-1909)
Abstract
Acente-konsolosluk, 19. Yüzyıl Osmanlı liman kentlerinde sıklıkla görülen bir müessesedir. Buharlı deniz nakliyat şirketlerinin düzenli olarak uğradığı limanların çoğunda acente - konsoloslar bulunmaktadır. Bunların tayin edildikleri bölgelere dair tuttukları raporlar; ekonomik, siyasal ve sosyo-kültürel alanlarda ayrıntılı bilgiler ihtiva etmektedir. Çalışmamıza konu olan Mesajeri Maritim Kumpanyası Giresun acentesi ve aynı zamanda Fransız viskonsolosu olan Gaspard Genna ve oğlu Thomas Genna’nın 1880-1909 yılları arasında tutmuş olduğu raporlar Giresun ve limanı hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler sunmaktadır
Abstract
Agent-consulate an institution is often seen in the Ottoman port city in the 19th century. Steam shipping company in most of the ports of call of the regular there are agencies - consulates. Reports, about the regions in which they are held by their determination; economic, political and socio-cultural areas contains detailed information. La Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes’s Giresun agency and also the French vice-consul and his son Gaspard Genna Thomas Genna's report which was held between the years 1880-1909 provides detailed information about the Giresun and the harbor has been the subject of our study
