Abstract
The paper aims to research strategist, redefined public relations manager and
technician considered as the role typologies of strategic public relations on curriculum. The
roles for strategic public relations are researched via curriculum of Akdeniz University Faculty
of Communication Public Relations and Publicity Department with content analysis in April
2015 in order to identify how the role typology described by Steyn is reflected on curriculum.
The results suggest that the criteria which define the role of strategist, redefined public
relations manager and technician are found in the curriculum. While the criteria consisting of
both strategist and redefined public relations manager are reflected as the same in percentages
on curriculum, it is found that the criteria including technician are less than the other roles.
Abstract
Bu çalışma stratejist, teknisyen ve yeniden tanımlanmış halkla ilişkiler yöneticisi olarak stratejik halkla ilişkiler için tanımlanan rol tipolojisini müfredat üzerinden incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda müfredata Steyn’in rol tipolojisinin nasıl yansıdığını tespit etmek için bu araştırmada içerik analizi yöntemi ile stratejik halkla ilişkiler için tanımlanan roller Akdeniz Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım Bölümü ders müfredatı üzerinden Nisan 2015’te incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda stratejist, yeniden tanımlanmış halkla ilişkiler yöneticisi ve teknisyen rollerini tanımlayan kriterlerin müfredatta yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Stratejist ve yeniden tanımlanmış halkla ilişkiler yönetici rollerini içeren kriterler yüzde olarak müfredata eşit olarak yansırken, teknisyen rolünü içeren kriterler ise yüzde olarak diğer iki rolün gerisinde kaldığı tespit edilmiştir
