Case Report
ODU Medical Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Ordu University. The journal primarily aims to disseminate methodologically robust studies based on clinical and experimental research in medicine, thereby supporting scientific knowledge production and communication.
ODU Medical Journal is an open-access, independent international medical journal operating under an impartial double-blind peer-review process. The publication language of the journal is English. The journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December), and each volume consists of three issues.
The journal considers manuscripts across all medical disciplines, primarily including original research articles, review articles, and case reports. In addition, submissions from nursing, dentistry, and other related health disciplines may also be considered provided that their direct relevance to medical practice, patient care, health service delivery, patient safety, and clinical outcomes is clearly demonstrated. Manuscripts that do not have a direct medical relevance and focus solely on narrow, discipline-specific applications may be considered outside the scope of the journal.
ODU Medical Journal adheres to established standards in publication ethics and endorses the ethical principles and best practices set forth by the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive of the Council of Higher Education, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). No fees are charged to authors for manuscript evaluation or publication.
