The journal endorses the ethical principles and best practices of the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive of the Council of Higher Education, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and aligns its processes with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
Publication Policy
Authors confirm that their work complies with universal ethical standards and that they are responsible for all statements in the manuscript. Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines; non-compliant submissions may be rejected or returned for correction. The journal reserves the right to perform language editing on accepted manuscripts without changing the meaning or content.
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Misconduct such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, data fabrication/falsification, salami publication, copyright infringement, and undisclosed conflicts of interest is not tolerated. Articles may be withdrawn from publication even after acceptance if ethical non-compliance is identified, including cases detected post-publication.
Submission and Evaluation
Manuscripts are accepted only via the DergiPark system; submissions by e-mail are not evaluated. All manuscripts undergo initial screening, language editing, statistical review, and peer review. The journal applies double-blind peer review with at least two independent reviewers; a third reviewer may be invited when necessary. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Revision
In revisions, changes in the main text must be highlighted/marked in color, and point-by-point responses to reviewers must be provided in a separate Word file. Revised manuscripts should be submitted within one month following the decision letter; extension requests should be made before the deadline.
Plagiarism / Similarity
An iThenticate similarity report is required. Similarity excluding the References section must be ≤20%.
