Kötü Haber Yönetiminin Davranış Kodları

Abstract

Yöneticilerin kötü haberlerle sıklıkla karşılaşıyor oldukları bilinen bir gerçektir. Öncelikle sosyoloji ve psikoloji gibi davranış bilimleri kapsamında tartışılmaya yönetiminin Türkiye’deki yöneticilerin zihninde nasıl davranışsal kodlar içerdiği merak konusudur. Türkiye’deki yöneticilerin anlamlı düzeyde kötü haber yönetimi deneyimine sahip olabileceği düşüncesiyle 26 üst ve orta kademe yöneticiyle görüşülmüştür. Nitel bir araştırma şeklinde yapılandırılan bu çalışmada derinlemesine ve yüz yüze mülakat yöntemiyle veriler toplanmış ve tematik analize tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre yazında adı geçen iletişim ve liderlik gibi davranış konularına ek olarak kötü haber yönetiminin motivasyon, takım çalışması, stres yönetimi, bağlılık ve güven gibi önemli davranış kavramlarını da içerdiği belirlenmiştir

The Behavioral Codes of Bad News Management

Abstract

It is a known reality that managers often encounter bad news. Bad news management concept initially discussed on the context of sociology and psychology as behavioral sciences. In the current research, the perspective of managers in Turkey on behavioral content of bad news management was examined. To answer this question, 26 top and middle managers who had significant experiences on bad news management participated to the research in Turkey which has a developing country profile. Data was collected with face to face interviews and analyzed with thematic analyzing method in the current research which was structured as a qualitative research. The results reveal that in addition to the leadership discussed in the previous studies, more behavioral concepts such as motivation, team working, stress management, commitment and trust were involved in bad news management
