Optımızatıon Of The Amount Of Kerosene Used At Coal Flotatıon Wıth Dıfference Between Proportıons Test
Abstract
Experimental studies being an indispensable element of scientific researches require long time and effort. Therefore, before such studies the most appropriate experimental design must be performed to obtain accurate and reliable data. Experimental design method used at this stage must be suitable to the purpose of the study and to available data. Obtaining meaningful results from interpreted data could only be possible by using statistical methods. Statistical hypothesis test is a method that can be used to determine the difference between two experiments whether it is coincidental or real. Because of this feature, statistical hypothesis test could be used in reducing the number of experiments or terminating experiments. In this study, the effect of kerosene dosage on the recovery of combustible matter and ash content of coal has been studied using flotation column with negative bias. The optimum value of kerosene dosage was determined using hypothesis test known as the difference between proportions
