In this paper, a continuous stirred tank reactor was modeled by using the system identification technique. This technique is useful to calculation control and model parameters such as temperature control of polymerization reactor. A pseudorandom binary sequence (PRBS) was utilized as a forcing function in order to identify ARX and ARMAX models of the system and the system output which was tank temperature was measured. Input and output data were collected from system and ARX and ARMAX models degree and parameters were evaluated by using least square method with MATLAB function , In order to test the model validation, auto correlation, cross correlation plots and information theoretic criterion (AIC) were used. The best model of continuous stirred tank reactor was determined as ARMAX model.
