Abstract

Industrial transformation and industry 5.0

Abstract

The rapid development of technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions affects the services and competition of industries. All the changes and innovations that occur globally have always affected the manufacturing industries and took place around them. As in other industrial revolutions, the technological world is experiencing a rapid transformation with advanced and differentiated production techniques. The fact that robots, which have developed thanks to artificial intelligence and interface studies aimed at machines' human- specific abilities, now match human minds, has made them more important. In addition to the perception that robots will replace humans, a new production era is coming in which they will cooperate with humans. The concept of Industry 5.0, which, unlike Industry 4.0, will be human-oriented, sustainable, and flexible, is a current research topic. Contrary to what is discussed, Industry 5.0, which differs from the idea of unmanned production and other industrial revolutions and emerges as more human and environment-centered, is a matter of curiosity for those concerned. This study aims to contribute to industries in the execution of production management, resource planning, strategic decision-making processes, digital transformation, and social responsibility projects by revealing the conceptual framework of Industry 5.0. In addition, it offers predictions about the qualifications and standards that industries should have. It reveals Industry 5.0's approaches to potential areas such as Human Cyber-Physical Systems (HCPS), Green Production (GM), and Human-Robot Collaboration (HRC).
