THE AVAILABLE SITUATIONS OF THE INSTITUTINOS THAT GIVE THE PROFESSIONAL MUSIC EDUCATION IN TURKEY

Abstract

In this research, it is aimed to present the current situations of the institutions that provide vocational music education at primary/secondary school, high school and undergraduate levels in our country.  The survey aimed to present the current situation of institutions providing vocational music education at primary / secondary school, high school and undergraduate levels in our country. This research is limited to primary/secondary schools, and high school levels od conservatory , music departments of fine arts high schools, and Higher Education Programs which admit students according to the results of 2016-2017 Special Ability Examination. The institutions that provide vocational music education are classified according to the types with the given education and the obtained data were  interpreted with tables and graphics provided.

According to the results obtained, it was concluded  that 101 departments  at primary/secondary  and high school  levels and 90 departments of 69 universities at undergraduate level vocational music education is given.
