About

Oksident is a peer-reviewed electronic journal published twice a year in June and December by Garbiyat Studies Application and Research Center at Bursa Uludağ University.

The journal primarily includes articles on Judaism, Christianity, and the West. In addition, it covers articles on the relations and polemics among Muslims, Christians, and Jews. The articles that evaluate Western studies on Islam and Turkey may also be published in the journal. Articles may be written in Turkish and English.

Research articles, research notes, book reviews and meeting abstracts are published in the journal. Oksident does not publish more than one article by a single author per year. Manuscripts submitted for publication undergo double-blind peer review by at least two referees. In addition, a special program used to detect plagiarism verifies that the articles have not been previously published and do not contain any plagiarized content.

Oksident is indexed in TRDizin, EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate, and DOAJ.
