The Wooden mosques in The Regions of Kastamonu and Sinop

Abstract

In this article, five wooden mosques of artical value are studied. Among these mosques The Geyikli Mosque presents close similarity to The Kasaba Köyü Mahmut Bey Mosque in Kastamonu from the viewpoint of ceiling arrangement. Derepazarı and Çağlar Köyü Central mosques, like the wooden mosques we have seen in Samsun, were built using wooden curtains which have been connected each other with the tecnique of kurtboğazı geçme. As regards The Beldeğirmeni and Güde mosques, these twoo mosques presents some different arrangements which were affected from the housing constructing tradition in the area.

Kastamonu ve Sinop Yöresinde Bulunan Ahşap Camiler

Abstract

Çalışmamızda sanatsal değeri haiz beş ahşap cami incelenmiştir. Bu camilerden Geyikli Camii özellikle tavan düzenlemesi bakımından Kastamonu Kasaba Köyü Mahmut Bey Camii’ne yakın bir benzerlik arzetmektedir. Derepazarı ve Çağlar Köyü Merkez camileri ise Samsun yöresinde gördüğümüz ahşap camiler gibi, kurtboğazı geçme tekniğiyle birbirine bağlanmış ahşap perdelerle yığma olarak inşa edilmişlerdir. Beldeğirmeni ve Güde camilerine gelince, bu iki cami yörede mevcut ahşap ev yapı geleneğinden fazlaca etkilenmiş bir düzenleme sergilemektedirler.
