Religious Language

Year 2017, Issue: 43, 355 - 368, 28.12.2017

Abstract

In general, talking about God in the philosophy, and
in particular the philosophy of religion, is preliminary and uttermost of the
issues. In this article, Janet Soskice after summarizing the thoughts of
philosophers like David Hume, Maimonides etc. on religious language in the
context of apophatic language, she tries to make a connection with the reflective
and visible part of it- performative.
