Epidermoid cyst of testis
Abstract
Epidermoid cysts of testis are benign and rare lesions, comprising about 1-2 % of all testis tumors. They must be distinguished from dermoid cysts or teratomas. Particularly, the distinction from teratoma is much more important because of their malignant potential. A 17-year-old patient with epidermoid cyst in the testis is presented, and the etiology, diagnosis and treatment strategies are discussed in the light of literature.
