Basketbolda Hücum ve Savunmalarda Yapılan Hataların İpuçları: İstatistiksel Bir Perspektif

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 2022-23 sezonunda Türkiye Basketbol Gençler Ligi’nde (BGL) play-off ve final grubu maçlarında yapılan hataların kaynaklarını belirlemek ve sayı olan/olmayan hücumlarda müsabaka sonuçlarına etki eden performans parametrelerini tespit etmektir. Çalışmada, Türkiye Basketbol Federasyonu tarafından düzenlenen BGL’nin play-off ve final maçlarının analizleri yapılmıştır. Maç görüntüleri TBF’nin YouTube kanalından temin edilmiş, sayı olan ve olmayan hücum aksiyonları manuel kodlama yöntemiyle veri setlerine dönüştürülmüştür. Bulgular, sayı olmayan hücumlarda “rebound box-out” hatalarının, sayı olan hücumlarda ise yardım ve şut savunma hatalarının maç sonucunu etkilediğini göstermektedir. Her iki hücum türünde de top kaybı, galibiyeti belirleyen en kritik faktör olarak öne çıkmıştır. Deplasman ekiplerinin daha fazla şut savunma hatasıs yapması, savunma stratejilerindeki yetersizlikleri ve psikolojik baskıyı yansıtmaktadır. TBSL (Türkiye Basketbol Süper Ligi) ve BGL karşılaştırmasında, TBSL’de taktiksel hatalar baskınken; BGL’de fiziksel mücadele eksiklikleri ve temel savunma hataları dikkat çekmektedir. Sonuç olarak, genç oyuncuların temel savunma becerilerini geliştirmesi, TBSL’de ise takım organizasyonu ve oyuncu kalitesinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, antrenman programları ve stratejik planlamalar için önemli öneriler sunmaktadır.

Clues to Offensive and Defensive Errors in Basketball: A Statistical Perspective

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the sources of errors made during play-off and final round games in the 2022–23 season of the Turkish Basketball Youth League (BGL) and to determine key performance parameters influencing game outcomes in both scoring and non-scoring offensive possessions. Match footage from the Turkish Basketball Federation’s official YouTube channel was analyzed, and offensive actions were manually coded to form datasets. Results showed that rebound box-out errors were decisive in non-scoring possessions, while help defense and shot defense mistakes were influential in scoring ones. Turnovers emerged as the most critical factor affecting success in both offensive types. Away teams committed more shot defense errors, indicating defensive strategy weaknesses and psychological pressure. A comparison between TBSL(Turkish Basketball Super League) and BGL revealed that tactical mistakes were more evident in the TBSL, whereas physical struggles and basic defensive errors were more common in the BGL. It is concluded that young players should focus on improving fundamental defensive skills and team defense, while team structure and player quality are crucial at the TBSL level. These insights can guide training programs and strategic planning for basketball development.
