Pediatrik Onkoloji Hastalarında Sanat Terapisi Uygulamalarının Etkinliği: Sistematik Derleme

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma pediatrik onkoloji hastalarına uygulanan sanat terapisi uygulamalarının etkisini inceleyen araştırmaların incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Yöntem: Pediatrik onkoloji hastalarında sanat terapisi uygulamaları ile ilgili 2017-2023 yılları arasında yapılan araştırmaları incelemek için “Science Direct, Pubmed, Cochrane ve Web of Science” veri tabanları taranmıştır. Tarama yapılırken, “pediatric, oncology ve art therapy” anahtar sözcükleri kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Bu araştırmada veri tabanlarının taranması sonucunda 366 araştırmaya ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil edilme kriterlerine uygun olan toplam 8 araştırma sonuçlar açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmalarda sanat terapisi uygulamalarının çocukların anksiyete, mutluluk, yaşam kalitesi, hastaneye uyum, invaziv girişim öncesi kaygı, vücut postürü ve psikolojik durum üzerine etkisi incelendiği gözlemlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Sanat terapisi uygulamalarının pediatrik onkoloji hastalarında olumsuz semptomları azaltmada uygulanabilir olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Effectiveness of Art Therapy Applications in Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Systematic Review

Abstract

Objective: This research was carried out to investigate the studies the effects of art therapy practices on pediatric oncology patients.
Methods: We searched the "Science Direct, Pubmed, Cochrane, and Web of Science" databases to identify studies conducted between 2017 and 2023 on art therapy practices in children with pediatric oncology. The databases were searched using the keywords “pediatric, oncology and art therapy”.
Results: A total of 366 studies were reached as a result of the search of databases. A total of 8 studies that met the inclusion criteria were inclued in the research and evaluated in terms of results. It has been observed that the effects of art therapy practices on children's anxiety, happiness, quality of life, hospitalization, pre-invasive anxiety, body posture and psychological state were examined.
Conclusion: It has been determined that art therapy practices are applicable in reducing negative symptoms in pediatric oncology patients.
