Hemşirelik Sürecinin Kullanımında Yaşanan Sorunların Hemşirelik Perspektifinden Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Yataklı sağlık kurumlarında hemşirelik sürecinin yürütülmesinde bazı aksaklıklar olduğu görülmüştür. Bu araştırmada, hemşirelik sürecinin uygulanması esnasında yaşanan sorunları, hemşirelerin bakış açısından değerlendirmek amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipte tasarlanan bu çalışma, Mart-Ağustos 2023 tarihleri arasında, bir Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesinin yataklı tedavi kısımlarında çalışan 120 hemşire ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler, kişisel bilgi formu ve literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan, hemşirelik sürecinin aşamalarına yönelik sorulardan oluşan bir anket yardımı ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, tanımlayıcı istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış sorular, önce okunmuş ve verilen cevabın içeriği korunarak cümleler yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Açık uçlu sorulara verilen yanıtlar incelenerek, üç başlık altında kategorize edilmişlerdir.
Bulgular: Araştırmada yer alan hemşirelerin, %85’i hemşirelik sürecinin bakım kalitesini artırdığına inandığını, %69.2’si hemşirelik sürecini yürütürken sorun yaşadığını ve %49.1’i en çok uygulama aşamasında sorun yaşadığını belirtmiştir. Çalışmada yer alan hemşirelerin %36.7’si; hemşirelik sürecinin kayıt altına alınmasını, zaman yetersizliği, iş yükünün fazlalığı ve işlevsel olmaması nedeni ile gerekli bulmadığını ifade etmiştir.
Sonuç: Hemşireler mevcut hasta bakım sistemlerinin işleyişi, iş yüklerinin fazlalığı ve zaman yetersizliği gibi nedenlerden hemşirelik sürecinin aşamalarını yerine getirmede sorun yaşamaktadırlar.

Evaluation of Problems Encountered in the Use of the Nursing Process from a Nursing Perspective

Abstract

Objective: It has been observed that there are some shortcomings in the execution of the nursing process in inpatient healthcare facilities. This research aims to evaluate the problems experienced during the implementation of the nursing process from the perspective of nurses.
Methods: This descriptive study was conducted between March and August 2023 with 120 nurses working in the inpatient treatment departments of a Training and Research Hospital. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of questions related to the stages of the nursing process, prepared based on personal information forms and literature. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate the data. Semi-structured questions were first read and then the sentences were rearranged while preserving the content of the given answers. The responses to open-ended questions were examined and categorized under three headings.
Results: In the study, 85% of the nurses believed that the nursing process increased the quality of care, 69.2% experienced problems while implementing the nursing process, and 49.1% stated that they encountered the most problems during the implementation phase. 36.7% of the nurses involved in the study expressed that they did not find it necessary to document the nursing process due to time constraints, excessive workload, and lack of functionality.
Conclusion: Nurses encounter difficulties in fulfilling the stages of the nursing process due to reasons such as the functioning of existing patient care systems, excessive workload, and time constraints.
