Abstract

Giyinme becerileri, yetersizliği olan bireylerin bağımsız olarak işlevde bulunabilmesi için gerekli özbakım becerilerinden birisidir. Çoğu zaman, normal gelişim gösteren bireyler giyinme becerilerini kendi kendilerine öğrenebilirken, yetersizliği olan bireyler bu becerileri sistematik öğretim almadan öğrenmekte güçlük çekmektedirler. Bu nedenle, giyinme becerilerinin öğretimi yetersizliği olan bireylere sağlanan eğitim hizmetlerinin temel amaçlarından birisi olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, yetersizliği olan bireylere giyinme becerilerinin öğretiminde kullanılan yöntem ve uygulamalar konusunda bilgi edinmek amacıyla, özel eğitim alanında 1965–2005 yılları arasındaki yayınlar incelenmiştir. Çalışma için American Journal of Mental Deficiency, Applied Research in Mental Retardation, Education and Training in Mental Retardation, Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Education, Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities, Journal of Early Intervention, Journal of Mental Deficiency, Mental Retardation, Research in Developmental Disabilities, Teaching Exceptional Children dergileri taranmıştır. Tarama amacıyla, “yetersizliği olan bireyler, özel gereksinimli bireyler, giyinme becerileri, kendi kendine giyinme, giyinme becerilerinin öğretimi, özbakım becerileri” anahtar sözcükleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında ulaşılan çalışmalar kısaca özetlenmiş, değerlendirmesi yapılmış ve bu doğrultuda uygulamaya ve ileri araştırmalara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur
