The Journal of Pan Health Sciences aims to publish original and scientifically contributing studies. All editorial and peer review processes for articles submitted to the journal are conducted through an online article tracking system. First, articles are evaluated by the secretariat for compliance with writing rules, deficiencies, and content integrity. In addition, the Turnitin programme is used to detect plagiarism, and the results are reported to the editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief reviews the article in terms of methodology, content, and format and rejects studies that do not comply with the journal’s publication policies or have low scientific contribution without sending them to the peer review process.
For articles accepted for peer review, a field editor is assigned by the editor-in-chief. Field editors are determined based on criteria such as the quality of the work, not being affiliated with the same institution as one of the authors, and workload. After reviewing the article, the field editor informs the editor-in-chief of its suitability for publication. Articles that are found to be suitable are sent to at least two reviewers for evaluation, and this process is completed within a maximum of 14 days. Impartiality is a fundamental priority in the selection of reviewers; reviewers must not work at the same institution as the authors or have collaborated with them recently. If a conflict of interest is identified, the reviewer is replaced. Reviewers are expected to be experts in the relevant field and have a sufficient scientific publication history.
Following the review, referees propose decisions such as acceptance, minor revision, major revision, requires rewriting, or rejection. The field editor considers the referee reports and their own evaluation before submitting their final recommendation to the chief editor. The final decision is made by the chief editor, and an article may be rejected despite positive referee opinions if fundamental flaws are present. The Journal of Pan Health Sciences publishes only studies that provide original contributions to scientific knowledge and does not include methodological flaws or repetitive studies. The primary priority is that submitted articles provide original contributions to the scientific literature.
Submission
Only online submissions are accepted. During the submission process, a cover page clearly stating the names and addresses of all authors and an author information form must be submitted. Additionally, sections indicating that the manuscript has been approved by all authors, has not been previously published anywhere, and that publication rights will be transferred to the journal must be completed during the submission process.
