Aim & Scope

Proceedings of Automotive Science and Technology (PASTECH) is a peer-reviewed proceedings series dedicated to disseminating high-quality research and engineering developments in the field of automotive engineering and the broader mobility ecosystem. PASTECH provides an academic platform for the publication of conference and symposium papers that present clear scientific contributions, sound methodology, and reproducible/validated results. It also aims to promote academia–industry collaboration and accelerate knowledge transfer.

PASTECH does not accept individual paper submissions. Papers published in PASTECH consist of contributions presented at conferences and symposia regularly organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers Turkey.

In addition, proceedings from conferences organized by other institutions, associations, universities, or academic/professional organizations related to automotive engineering, automotive technologies, and mobility may also be published in PASTECH under a cooperation or publication agreement with the Society of Automotive Engineers Turkey. For such collaborations, the required correspondence and evaluation process must be initiated at least one year before the conference date.

Papers are submitted personally by the paper authors through the system and are subject to peer review. Papers found suitable following the peer-review process are published in PASTECH after the relevant conference or symposium date.

A paper published in PASTECH cannot subsequently be republished in another journal, symposium book, conference proceedings book, or any similar publication venue.

PASTECH welcomes original contributions based on experimental, numerical, analytical, and/or data-driven approaches. Applied engineering studies, comparative evaluations, and well-documented industrial case studies that contribute to the advancement of automotive science and technology are also within the scope of the series.

The main subject areas of PASTECH include:

Powertrain and Propulsion Systems: Internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, battery electric systems, fuel cell systems, hydrogen, and alternative fuels.

Energy Storage and Management: Batteries, battery management systems, thermal management, charging strategies, and fuel cell control.

Vehicle Dynamics, Control, and Chassis Systems: Suspension, braking —including regenerative braking—, steering, stability control, and traction control.

ADAS, Autonomous, and Connected Mobility: Perception, sensor fusion, control, V2X, cybersecurity, and software-defined vehicles.

Modeling, Simulation, Testing, and Validation: HIL/SIL, fault diagnosis, durability, NVH, digital twins, and calibration.

Materials, Design, and Manufacturing: Lightweighting, composites, metallurgy, manufacturing processes, reliability, and quality.

Emissions, Sustainability, and Environmental Impact: Emission reduction, life cycle assessment, carbon footprint, and circular economy.

Commercial Vehicles and Special Applications: Heavy-duty vehicles, off-road applications, fleet efficiency, and operations.

Safety, Regulations, and Standards: Functional safety, homologation trends, assessment methods, and compliance.

The topics listed above are not restrictive. PASTECH also considers interdisciplinary studies that have a clear and direct relationship with automotive engineering and mobility technologies.
