Problems of Primary School Teachers Working in Villages

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the problems of the teachers according to their opinions and to offer. Solutions to the problems with which the teachers charged in village deal in to days conditions. The population of this research consists of 776 teachers who are charged in primary schools in all villages (except Aydın city center and districts of Kuşadası) in 2007-2008 academic year. The sample of the research also consists of 482 teachers. The data of the research are collected with the five-level Likert scale. Some important results are as follows: “Inspection” is the dimension that has the highest rate of teachers’ opinions related to their problems. “Environmental Conditions” is the dimensions which has the lowest rate. The most common problem that the teachers encounter is lock of cultural activities like theater, cinema and the least common problem is lack of respect from country folk.

Köyde Görev Yapan Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Sorunları

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, günümüz koşullarında köylerde görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin sorunlarını, öğretmen görüşlerine göre analiz ederek belirlemek ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirmektir. Araştırma evrenini, 2007â€"2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında (Aydın Merkez ve Kuşadası ilçeleri hariç) tüm köylerinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarında görevli 776 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise, 482 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, 5’li Likert tipi ölçekle toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın önemli bazı sonuçları şöyledir: Köyde görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin karşılaştıkları sorunlara ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerinin en yüksek ortalamaya sahip olduğu boyut “Denetim” (X=3,18), en düşük ortalamaya sahip boyut ise “Çevresel koşullar” (X=2,30) boyutudur. Köyde görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin en çok karşılaştığı sorun “Tiyatro, sinema gibi kültürel faaliyetlerden yoksun kalması” (X=3,60), en az karşılaştığı sorun ise “Köy halkı tarafından saygı görmemesi” dir (X=2,04).
