Abstract
The aim of this paper is to introduce The Japanese art of paper folding and to inform how to affect the develepoment of children learning skills. Due to as an unknown art for Turkish educatiors, firstly, the main properties of origami and the historical development of origami are mentioned in the article. The importance of origami as a methot for helping young childrento achieve then creative potential was expressed. Origami is an activity based method, which is related to the most known learning methods such as cooperative learning, creative learning, active learning, project based learning, and brain based learning.
Abstract
Bu makale, Japon kağıt katlama sanatı âorigamiyiâ tanıtmak ve çocuklarda öğrenme yeteneğinin gelişimine etkisine dikkati çekmek amacıyla yazılmıştır. Ülkemizde eğitimciler tarafından fazla bilinmeyen bir sanat olması nedeniyle, makalede ilk önce origaminin temel özellikleri ve tarihsel gelişiminden bahsedilmiştir. Çocukların yaratıcılık potansiyellerini ortaya çıkaracak birçok metottan biri olarak origami çalışmalarının önemi vurgulanmıştır. Origami, yaparak öğrenme işbirlikçi öğrenme, yaratıcı öğrenme, aktif öğrenme, proje tabanlı öğrenme, beyin temelli öğrenme gibi bilinen metotlarla bağlantılı aktivite temelli bir metottur.
