Abstract
Bertrand Russel is one of philosopher, scientist and social critic of this century. He is distinguished among his contemporaries in which this shows the difference and depth of his ideas. Russel showed a novel attitude by not avoiding his criticisms and witticisms about the subjects, like âchild and education, the aims in education, authority and discipline, freedom in education, necessary characteristics in ideal educationalist, the components like family, teacher, school and state in education, the relationship between education and society, and had many followers not only in his time but also after that.

Abstract
Bertrand Russel Çağımızın filozofu, bilgin ve sosyal eleştirmenlerinden biridir. Kendi dönemindeki düşünürler arasında farklı bir yere sahiptir. Bu da ondaki düşünce çeşitliliği ve derinliliğinin olduğunu gösterir. Çocuk ve Eğitim, Eğitimde Amaçlar, Otorite ve disiplin, eğitimde özgürlük, ideal bir eğitimcide bulunması gereken özellikler. Eğitimde Aile-öğretmen, okul, devlet unsurları, Eğitim toplum ilişkisi, Russell bu kavramlar üzerinde kendi sistemine uyan orjinal fikirlere sözünü sakınmazlığı ve nükteleri ile yeni bir tutum sergilemiş, gerek döneminde gerekse kendinden sonraki dönemlerde onun bu düşünceleri bir çok şekilde taraftar bulmuştur. Bu çalışmada Çağdaş felsefede ayrı bir yönü olduğuna inanılan Russellâın Eğitim ve Eğitimci konularındaki fikir ve görüşleri ele alınıp, değerlendirilmeye çalışıldı.
