Abstract
Special importance need to be attached to the training of elementary school teachers so that they can future generations in the best way. Elementary school teachers are educated in a way they will have two majors in technologically developed countries. The fact that elementary school teachers are required to have graduated from a university is an indicator of the importance attached to elementary school education in our country. Comparative studies are especially important since they provide us with the information abaut the field and enable us to analyze and evaluate the position of our country better. Therefore, the process of training elementary school teachers in Germany and Turkey have been studied and the programs in both countries have been compared. Abstract
Gelecek kuşağı en iyi şekilde hayata hazırlamak için ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin yetiştirilmesine özel önem verilmelidir. Teknolojik yönden ilerlemiş sanayi toplumlarında ilkokul öğretmenleri en az iki temel branşı olacak şekilde yetiştirilmektedir. Ülkemizde de ilkokul öğretmenlerinin üniversite öğrenimi görmüş olmaları, ilköğretime verilen süreci incelenmiş olup, günümüzdeki programların incelenmesi gerekli görülmüştür. Bu bildiri, sekiz yıllık ilköğretim okullarına yetiştirilen öğretmenlerin niteliklerinin arttırılması için alınacak önlem ve bu konudaki önerileri kapsamaktadır.
