All studies submitted to Pamukkale University Journal of Education are first evaluated by the editors.
Pamukkale University Journal of Education uses a double-blind peer-review system where the names of the referees and authors are kept at every stage of the process.
Each article is sent to 2 peers, if both reviewers agree, the article is accepted for publication. If both reviewers reject the article, the article is rejected. In case of rejection by one of the reviewers, the article is sent to the third reviewer and is accepted or rejected according to his decision.
According to Dergipark, the evaluation process is as follows:
Peer Review Process:
The time given to the reviewers for the peer review process is 4 weeks. It is obligatory that the correction suggestions from the reviewers be completed by the authors within 4 weeks. Reviewers can examine the modifications of the study and decide whether it is appropriate or request more than one correction if necessary. The duration of the evaluation process depends on the reviewers' responses. Pamukkale University Journal of Education estimates that the review process may take approximately 6-12 months. However, it should be noted that the review process may take longer, depending on the number of rounds required. Pamukkale University Journal of Education aims that all these processes do not exceed nine months. For this reason, it is important that authors return quickly by rearranging their work within the specified time (30 days). At this stage, studies that do not comply with the purpose and scope of the journal, are weak in terms of language and expression rules in Turkish and English, contain scientifically critical errors, have no original value, and do not meet the publication policies are rejected. Authors of rejected studies are notified within three months at the latest from the date of submission. When section editors or statistical editors are involved in the evaluation process, the process may be longer. The studies that are found appropriate for the evaluation process are sent to the reviewers.
