ROLE DE LA LANGUE DANS LA FORMATION DE NOTRE NE PERCEPTION DU MONDE (THE ROLE OF THE LANGUAGE IN THE FORMATION OF OUR WORLD VIEW)

Abstract

The functional linguistics considers communication as the primary function of the language, which affirms that language, above all, is a means of communication. Though considered by the functional linguistics as dominant, however, this is not its only function. This founding principle of the functional linguistics itself suffices to account fort he way of describing the language. Languages divide the reality in different ways and once this division occurs depending on our needs and our experience levels, our world view will be affected by our language. For we classify the world thanks to the vocabulary treasure offered to us by the language that we have made prefect by using. Our aim in this study is to show, by various examples, that languages divide the reality in different ways.

DÜNYA GÖRÜŞÜMÜZÜN OLUŞMASINDA DİLİN ROLÜ

Abstract

İşlevsel Dilbilim dilin ana işlevinin iletişim işlevi olduğunu öne sürer, bu da dilin her şeyden önce bir iletişim aracı olduğunu doğrular. Bu işlev tek değildir ancak işlevsel dilbilimcilerce başat olarak görülür. İşlevsel dilbilimin bu kurucu ilkesi tek başına dilin nasıl betimlendiğini açıklamaya yetmektedir. Diller gerçekliği değişik biçimlerde keserler ve bu kesitleme işlemi ihtiyaçlarımız ve deneyim seviyelerimiz ışığında gerçekleştiğinde, dilimiz dünya görüşümüzü etkilemiş olacaktır. Çünkü dünyayı, kullanarak mükemmelleştirdiğimiz dilimizin bize sunduğu kelime hazinesi sayesinde sınıflandırıyoruz. Bu çalışmada dillerin gerçekliği değişik şekillerde kestiğini örnekler vererek göstereceğiz.
