EFFECTS OF THE PROPERTIES OF DESIGN AND CONTENT OF THE WORKS NAMED ‘FADİŞ’ AND ‘KÜÇÜK PRENS’ ON THE EDUCATIONAL MANNER OF THESE WORKS

Abstract

In this study, the novels named Fadiş and Küçük Prens which were chosen from the Turkish and French child literatures were studied in a comparative manner. It was tried to investigate the effects of the design and content properties of both books on the educational manner of the works. For this aim, these books, which were in the classics of French and Turkish literatures, were examined from the viewpoint of formal (external) and content properties. These sample books were evaluated in terms of the design properties such as size, quality of paper, cover-binding, the layout page, letters and pictures and in terms of content properties such as plot, theme, character, language and rhetoric, message. It was especially dwelled on the contribution of these two dimensions on the educational manner of books.

‘FADİŞ’ VE ‘KÜÇÜK PRENS’ ADLI ESERLERİN TASARIM VE İÇERİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN ESERLERİN EĞİTSEL YÖNÜNE ETKİLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Türk ve Fransız çocuk yazınından seçilen Fadiş ve Küçük Prens adlı romanlar karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Seçilmiş olan bu iki örnek çocuk kitabının tasarım ve içerik özelliklerinin kitapların eğitsel yönüne etkileri araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla Fransız ve Türk yazınından klasikleşmiş bu kitaplar biçimsel (dışsal) ve içerik özellikleri açısından ele alınmıştır. Örnek kitaplar tasarım özellikleri yönünden boyut, kâğıt, kapak-cilt, sayfa düzeni, harfler ve resimleri yönünden; içerik özellikleri yönünden ise konuları, izlekleri, karakterleri, dil ve anlatım özellikleri, iletileri bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Bu iki temel bileşenin kitabın özellikle eğitsel yönüne olan katkıları ve etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.
