An Approach to the Novel Language of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar

Abstract

Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar (1901-1962) is regarded as one of the most stylist writers / poets of Turkish literature in the period of Turkish Republic. It is always possible to see this feature both in his poems and in novels and stories, and also in the academic works. This situation, which is generally attributed to having a poet sensitivity, is not only aesthetic aspect in his novels, but also it comes from using language with its all richness. In addition, rich vocabulary in the novel should not be forgotten. In this study, the different aspects of the novel language of Huzur will be tried to show and the reasons of the richness of this language will be discussed through examples.

Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar'ın Roman Dili Üzerine Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar (1901-1962), Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatı içerisinde yer alan Türk edebiyatının en üslupçu yazar/şairlerinden biri olarak kabul edilir. Gerek şiirlerinde ve gerek roman ve hikayelerinde ve gerekse akademik çerçevedeki eserlerinde bu yönünü daima görmek mümkündür. Genelde bir şair hassasiyetine sahip olmasına bağlanan bu durumun özellikle romanlarında estetik kaygının yanı sıra Türkçeyi bütün zenginliği ile kullanma; geniş bir vokabülere sahip olma gibi pek çok özgün tarafın da bunda etkili olduğunu söylemek mümkündür.Bu çalışmada Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar'ın özellikle Huzur romanı merkezinde roman dilinin değişik görünümleri ele alınacak ve örnekler üzerinden ondaki bu dil zenginliğinin çeşitliliği gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır.
