Determination E-Logistics Critical Factors: E-Logistics Applications In Turkey

Abstract

In the enterprises; the acquisition, development and management of knowledge is an important factor in improving overall performance and productivity. Also, in today's competitive environment, businesses must give importance to speed, cost and quality in order to provide competitive advantage and sustain this situation. At these points, e-applications offer significant advantages to businesses. The concept of e-logistics is logistics which is made with electronic base. In other words, it is the use of systems and interfaces, on which information and communication technologies are based in the realization of logistics processes. Thanks to the informatics technologies, e-logistics activities are supported. In this study which is carried out in order to determine critical factors in e-logistics in logistics companies in Turkey, besides determining the existing situation, the data obtained from factor analysis are presented for the models to be formed in the following studies. Within the scope of the research, the expectations of the enterprises from the e-logistics software and applications, the benefits they obtained, the effects of e-logistics software and applications on the business performance and the main factors preventing the adoption of e-logistics have been examined. In addition, some proposals have been developed on the basis of the obtained data.

E-Lojistikte Kritik Faktörlerin Belirlenmesi: Türkiye’deki E-Lojistik Uygulamaları

Abstract

İşletmelerde; bilginin elde edilmesi, geliştirilmesi ve yönetilmesi genel performansın ve verimliliğinin arttırılmasında önemli bir unsurdur. Ayrıca günümüz rekabet ortamında işletmeler rekabet avantajı sağlamak ve bu durumu devam ettirmede hız, maliyet ve kaliteye önem vermek zorundadırlar. Bu noktalarda e-uygulamalar işletmelere önemli avantajlar sunmaktadır. E-lojistik kavramı elektronik tabanlı olarak yapılan lojistiktir. Bir başka ifadeyle, lojistik süreçlerin gerçekleştirilmesinde bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin temel alındığı sistemlerin ve ara yüzlerin kullanılmasıdır. Bilişim teknolojileri sayesinde e-lojistik faaliyetleri desteklenmektedir. Türkiye’deki lojistik firmalarında e-lojistikte kritik faktörlerin belirlenmesine dönük olarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada var olan durumun tespit edilmesinin yanında, bundan sonraki çalışmalarda oluşturulacak modeller için faktör analizinden elde edilen veriler sunulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında işletmelerin e-lojistik yazılım ve uygulamalarından beklentileri, elde ettikleri faydalar, e-lojistik yazılım ve uygulamalarının işletme performansına etkileri, e-lojistiğin benimsenmesini engelleyen temel faktörler incelenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerden hareketle öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
