YENİ AÇILAN KÜÇÜK ÖLÇEKLİ YEREL BİR KONAKLAMA İŞLETMESİNE GELİR YÖNETİMİ UYGULAMASI

Abstract

Günümüz piyasası ve rekabet koşullarında birçok işletme, gelirlerini maksimize edebilmek için gelir yönetimi (GY) uygulamaktadır. Özellikle sabit kapasiteye ve esnek talebe sahip olan konaklama sektöründeki firmalar için uygundur. GY uygulamaları genellikle büyük ölçekli zincir ya da uzun süredir faaliyet gösteren orta ve büyük ölçekli otellerde bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada amaç, yeni faaliyete geçmiş olan 39 odalı küçük bir konaklama işletmesi için yeni bir GY modeli geliştirmektir. Bu model, otelde uygulanmaya başlanmış, mevcut oda satış sayısı verileriyle geliştirilen GY modeli uygulanmış olsaydı varsayımına dayanarak test edilmiştir. Günlük ortalama 16 oda satmakta olan otelin, mevcut fiyatlandırma politikası ile hedeflediği kara ulaşması için satması gereken günlük ortalama oda sayısı 20 olarak hesaplanmaktayken; GY sistemi ile 16 oda satarak hedeflediği kara ulaşabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
