Abstract

This work covers the invasion of Turkistan through the eyes of travellers. Travel diaries of thirteen travellers have been used as a reference. The writings of the travellers about the invasion have been compiled. The fact that the works complement each other makes it possible to (compare=test) information presented. Preparation of the invasion of Turkistan, the stages and the reasons for the invasion is discussed. The massacre of the Russians and the Chinese against the Turks and the efforts of the invaders to settle in the area is discussed.

SEYYAHLARIN GÖZÜYLE TÜRKİSTAN’IN İSTİLASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmamızda seyyahların gözüyle Türkistan’ın istilası konusu ele alınacaktır. On üç ayrı seyyahın gezi notlarına yer verilmiştir. Seyyahların işgalle ilgili yazıları bir araya getirilmiştir. Eserler birbirini tamamladığı için aynı zamanda bilgileri test etme imkanı doğmuştur. Seyahatnâmelere göre Türkistan’ın istila hazırlıkları, aşamaları ve gerekçeleri ele alınmıştır. Bu bölgede Ruslar’ın ve Çinlilerin Türklere yönelik katliamları ve işgalcilerin Orta Asya’da yerleşme çabaları işlenmiştir.
