Abstract

MERCOSUR, yüksek nüfusu, büyük yüz ölçümü ve sahip olduğu doğal zenginlikler ile dünya ticaretinde önemli bir potansiyele sahip olan ekonomik bir gruptur. Bu nedenle, gelecekte dünya ticaretinden alacağı payın artması beklenmektedir. AB de dünya ticaretinden büyük ölçüde pay alan önemli bir entegrasyondur. Bu çalışmada; MERCOSUR ülkeleri ile AB arasındaki dış ticaretin incelenmesi ve iki ekonomik grup arasında imzalanan ticaret anlaşmasının potansiyeli ve getirilerine dair kavramsal bir bakış açısı sunulması amaçlanmıştır. İki entegrasyon arasında uzun yıllar süren müzakereler sonucunda ticaret anlaşmasının imzalanması dikkatleri bu iki birlik arasındaki mevcut ticari ilişkilere ve anlaşmanın bu ilişkilerde yaratacağı etkiler üzerine çekmiştir. Yapılan çalışma mevcut ticari ilişkileri ortaya koymak ve yapılan ticaret anlaşması sonrasında bu ilişkilerde yaşanabilecek değişiklikleri incelemek adına önem taşımaktadır. Çalışmada, 2009-2018 yılları arasındaki istatistiksel veriler üzerinden iki birlik arasındaki ticari ilişkiler incelenmiş ve yapılan ticaret anlaşmasının MERCOSUR-AB üzerinde yaratabileceği olası etkiler ortaya konulmuştur.
