Abstract

Mental retardasyon; gelişim dönemlerinde ortaya çıkan, çevreye uyum ve davranışlardaki bozulma ile birlikte olan, genel zihinsel fonksiyonların ortalamanın anlamlı derecede altında olması şeklinde tanımlanabilir. Mental retardasyon zihinsel yeteneklerin yetersiz gelişimidir.
