Abstract

Çölyak, gluten içeren buğday, arpa, çavdar ve yulaflı gıdaların tüketilmesi ile tetiklenen ve immun mekanizma ile oluşan enteropatidir. ilk olarak 1888 yılında Samuel Gee tarafından tanımlanmış, 1950 yılında Dicke hastalığın patogenezinde buğday ve çavdarda bulunan gluten isimli proteinin rolü olduğunu göstermiştir
